We Agree (United 3rd Parties)

We Agree (United 3rd Parties)

September 10th, 2008 by Don Rasmussen

The Republican/Democrat duopoly has, for far too long, ignored the most important issues facing our nation.  However, alternate candidates Chuck Baldwin, Cynthia McKinney, and Ralph Nader agree with Ron Paul on four key principles central to the health of our nation. These principles should be key in the considerations of every voter this November and in every election.

We Agree

Foreign Policy: The Iraq War must end as quickly as possible with removal of all our soldiers from the region. We must initiate the return of our soldiers from around the world, including Korea, Japan, Europe and the entire Middle East. We must cease the war propaganda, threats of a blockade and plans for attacks on Iran, nor should we re-ignite the cold war with Russia over Georgia. We must be willing to talk to all countries and offer friendship and trade and travel to all who are willing. We must take off the table the threat of a nuclear first strike against all nations.

Privacy: We must protect the privacy and civil liberties of all persons under US jurisdiction. We must repeal or radically change the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, and the FISA legislation. We must reject the notion and practice of torture, eliminations of habeas corpus, secret tribunals, and secret prisons. We must deny immunity for corporations that spy willingly on the people for the benefit of the government. We must reject the unitary presidency, the illegal use of signing statements and excessive use of executive orders.

The National Debt: We believe that there should be no increase in the national debt. The burden of debt placed on the next generation is unjust and already threatening our economy and the value of our dollar. We must pay our bills as we go along and not unfairly place this burden on a future generation.

The Federal Reserve: We seek a thorough investigation, evaluation and audit of the Federal Reserve System and its cozy relationships with the banking, corporate, and other financial institutions. The arbitrary power to create money and credit out of thin air behind closed doors for the benefit of commercial interests must be ended. There should be no taxpayer bailouts of corporations and no corporate subsidies. Corporations should be aggressively prosecuted for their crimes and frauds.

The REAL Republican National Convention

I watched the Republican National Convention on ABC last night. It was probably the most frightening thing I have ever seen.  I thought to myself this is what it must have been like at an Adolph Hitler rally in Nuremberg Germany.   I am not a fan of Obama either;  he is owned by the same people (International Bankers) as McCain.  I imagine the American middle class (along with a world of others) will continue to suffer if  either of these two puppets get elected to office.

Sarah Palin?  She gave a great speech on Wednesday night.. But her foreign policy and civil rights sections clearly were written by the anti-American Neocons who run McCain’s campaign, and who hate our liberties with a passion. She’s a nice lady who’s put in with a bad crowd, as Lew Rockwell pointed out.

The Real Republicans were at the Rally for the Republic where representative Ron Paul’s featured speech was about defining our country’s place in history. He was introduced by former Representative Barry Goldwater, Jr.

The Rally for the Republic was the kickoff to the Campaign for Liberty. This event was held in the Target Center in Minneapolis while the Republican National Convention was taking place in St. Paul.

My friend Tony was there.  See email below!

What a great convention…the best part? I was there! SEE ME IN THE VIDEO DOWN BELOW…

Rally for the Republic- “Bigger than the rest of the Republican Party…”

This event was in the biggest convention center in the state, and it was packed! The rest of the republicans were in a much smaller hall. Yet the media gave the Ron Paul Rally for the Republic very little coverage. If you didn’t know that much about this event…you may want to reconsider the media sources your putting your trust into. I mean really…this was HUGE!

“Imitation” is the greatest compliment…

In case you missed it on C-span 2, here is a great speech. FUNNY…. I noticed at last night’s “Republican” Convention that McCain “Borrowed” a few hot points Ron Paul made at his “Rally For The Republic” 2 days earlier (Most people wouldn’t know it was almost word for word)…hmmm, McCain must have liked the way Ron’s crowd reacted to a REAL issue!

The following (Youtube video) was NOT at Ron Paul’s Rally for the Republic. Let me repeat that….NOT at the Campaign for Liberty’s Rally For the Republic in Minneapolis.

It DID take place outside McCain’s Republican Convention next door in St. Paul. I dropped by there about half way through a protest march (NOT RON PAUL’s March…repeat…NOT a March organized by Ron Paul’s Campaign for Liberty), just to check it out. It was Very peaceful though….actually very quiet compared to the Washington March I participated in back in July. I did not see any violent actions by protesters that the media reported happened. But I did see this video…

St. Paul Cop Dragging Protester Jumped, Sprays Crowd:

A St. Paul police officer who was dragging an alleged protester down the street.

Note: In posting this video I am not advocating attacks on police, or violence of any kind.  Of course that includes violent attacks BY police.

“The path of least resistance and least trouble is a mental rut already made. It requires troublesome work to undertake the alternation of old beliefs. Self-conceit often regards it as a sign of weakness to admit that a belief to which we have once committed ourselves is wrong. We get so identified with an idea that it is literally a “pet” notion and we rise to its defense and stop our eyes and ears to anything different.” — John Dewey
