I read in the paper today that a boy that lives in the next town over was killed in Iraq by a road side bomb. His family was notified just this past Saturday, the day before Easter Sunday.
I use to think this war was good and that dying was no big deal. I was mentally an infant then. Now I know that war is never good and should only be a last resort.
Every time we loose one of ours over there a tiny bomb goes off in a community somewhere here at home.

Being a military spouse I know in my heart they [the soldiers] do not fear death. They don’t hope for it, this goes unsaid, but they get their orders to go down range (slang for overseas
) and all they can hope for is a safe trip home and to possibly make a difference in this mess that is happening. The sad truth is that young men such as the one on your neighboring town, only got the safe trip home and not the one he was expecting.
If I were a liberal I would make more noise too =( I hope I never receive “that” bomb at my house.
